The 2018 KAIST Grand Challenge 30 Project will be implemented as follows.
 
1. Purpose and characteristics of the project: Global challenges, research on the most fundamental questions in human knowledge, etc. in the long term and does not evaluate the success of the study.
2. Eligibility
– Those who have been employed for more than 5 years
* Professors can apply regardless of their term of office
* In-school assignments are available regardless of whether they carry out other research tasks.
– Undergraduate students (Students who are scheduled to graduate in February and August 2018 can not apply)
※ Students on vacation cannot apply / Graduate students cannot apply
3. Scope of research and funding
– Research period: Minimum 5 years to maximum 30 years after selection
– Research funding: Approximately 20 million won / year, 30 million won per experiment / year
※ Research period and research fee may be adjusted at presentation screening
4. Task Proposal Submission and Announcement Evaluation Schedule
– Proposal submission: 2017. 8. 1 (Tue) ~ 8. 31 (Thu)
– Submission of proposal presentation: mid-September, 2017
– How to Apply: Fill out the proposal (prescribed form) and submit it to the Academic Affairs Team of the Natural Science University
