Prof. Kwon (Director of the Future Medical Robotics Research Team) gave an invited lecture, “Technology trends of medical robots & KAIST research for minim invasive surgery,” at the 1st Robot Surgery Center symposium held at Eulji University Hospital on June 23. Prof. Kwon presented the blueprint of the next-generation minimally invasive surgical robot by analyzing the latest trends in the field of medical robots at a special lecture and presented the latest research results of the KAIST Future Medical Robotics Research Group and received much attention from clinical specialists and related researchers. Especially, this lecture was a chance to firmly establish cooperation with Eulji University Hospital. The KAIST Future Medical Robotics Research Group has been cooperating with the Surgical Robot Center of Eulji University Hospital for the ‘Korea-India Cooperation Project for Development of Surgical Robot Trainer’ in 2015. Eulji University Hospital introduced Robot Surgery Robot surgery has achieved 500 successes. This symposium was held to commemorate this.
