There are various cultural events in 1st floor.
For example, Friday's concerts with explanation are held in academic semester.
There are so many music concerts such as 7 musicians' guitar ensemble leaded by Prof. Jungyeul Kim, 3 musicians' cello ensemble leaded by Jungjin Kim, a clarinet, flute, saxophone concerts, a baroque typed vocal music, a chamber music, and a piano concert and a part song.
Furthermore, there are many of the department's events.
The ceremony of awarding prizes for the prize winner of the logo, catch phrase for the dept. of M.E. and lab homepage was held in June 18th (Fri.), 2004.
In the sports event for the graduate students of M.E. May 7th 2004, this lobby was used in the game of Starcraft as the seats for spectators.
The facilities are composed of a piano, a beam project & 2ⅹ2M screen, a couch & table, and so on.

The public lecture room is located in the just right of the entrance of the M.E. building, so it is so easy for the quests to find it.
The facilities are composed of a sound facility, a beam project, PC, a real-time monitor, VTR, DVD, electric board, lecture recording system and 162 seats.
This room is used for the workshop, short-term lecture, and regular seminar of M.E.

There are 8 seminar rooms in the M.E. building.
The facilities are composed of a beam project, OHP, a videovision, and air conditioners, so it is available for the visiting seminar.
Because there are from 8 seats room to 58 seats room, you can select the seminar room according to your needed seats.

In this room, there are 31 PCs including LCD monitors, 1 PC for the lecture, a beam project, a sound facility and air conditioners.
The lectures needed PCs and the software lectures are held in this room.
Furthermore, there are the 3D printer, SEM, and internet cafe having the couch, table and PC.
The internet cafe is used as a students' rest place where students can drink a coffee and soda water and listen to the music.
